Turn a job into an invoice

Open the signed estimate and tap Create invoice. The invoice has what your customer signed, with confirmed deposits taken off.

On this page

Create it

  1. Open the signed estimate in Estimates.

  2. Tap Create invoice. The invoice opens as a Draft.

Tapping it again never makes a second invoice. Once it exists, the estimate shows Open invoice with its number instead.

What goes on it

  • The option your customer signed and the add-ons they picked, at the signed prices. Nothing is re-typed or re-priced.
  • Sales tax as it was on the signed estimate.
  • Less deposit received: deposits that are confirmed or that you marked paid.
  • Balance due at the bottom and in the summary.

If your customer says they paid a deposit and you haven't confirmed it yet, the invoice says so at the top. Tap Open estimate and confirm it there, then it comes off the invoice.

You can't change the lines on the invoice. They are what your customer signed.

Before you send it

While it's a Draft, you can set:

  • When is it due?: Due on receipt, or 7, 14 or 30 days.
  • Note to your customer: up to 1,000 characters.

Tap Save. If the invoice says Add how customers pay you. It goes on the invoice., add your payment link or bank details so they go on the invoice.

Next: Send an invoice and get paid.
