The signed PDF and certificate
In the US and Canada, a signed estimate gets a PDF copy with a signature certificate. Download it from the estimate in Quoza or from the customer's link.

When it's made
When your customer signs, Quoza makes the signed PDF once and seals it. It's never made again or changed afterwards, even if you edit your details later.
If your address was missing when they signed, that estimate gets no signed PDF. Adding the address later doesn't make one for it; it only covers estimates signed after that.
Where to find it
- You: open the estimate and tap Download PDF.
- Your customer: on the same link they signed, Download PDF shows when there's no deposit to pay, or once the deposit is confirmed. While they still owe it, the page shows how to pay instead.
- When Quoza email is switched on, the signed copy is also attached to the email we send you when your customer signs. Email may not be switched on yet.
What's in it
The estimate as signed: the option they picked, any add-ons, the total and deposit, your terms, and the cancellation notice where the law asks for one. Then the signature, and a last page, the Signature certificate:
| Line | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Document | The estimate and its version |
| SHA-256 of signed content | A fingerprint of the exact content that was signed |
| Signer | The name your customer typed or drew |
| Signature method | Typed name or drawn |
| Consent to electronic records | That they agreed to sign electronically, and which wording |
| Sent, First viewed, Signed | When it was sent, first opened and signed |
| IP address / device | Their IP address and browser |
| Copies sent | Who got the copy by email, if anyone |
Outside the US and Canada
In the UK and Australia there's no estimate PDF yet, signed or unsigned. The signed version is still saved, and your customer can open the link to see it. See How e-signatures work.
