Filling it in for a handyman job
- Add your business and your customer. Type your business name, then the customer's name, their mobile or email, and the address.
- List the job line by line at your own prices. One line per job: "Ease and rehang back door", "Patch plasterboard, landing", "Fit 3 floating shelves", "Assemble flat-pack wardrobe". Add materials you'll buy on their own lines. Not sure of one? Leave it empty: it shows Needs price and can't go out at zero.
- Tap Send to customer and sign up. Nothing to type again. Your customer accepts the quote online and pays any deposit straight to you.
The example handyman lines are marked Sample price. Keep them or set your own before anything goes out.
What your customer sees
The preview shows what your customer gets. Download PDF gives you a printable A4 copy. On their phone they see your business name, each job with your price, materials, VAT, the total, and a deposit if you turned one on. Then they accept and sign.
With a list of odd jobs, a customer may want to trim it. Because every job has its own price, they can see what each one costs before they accept, rather than haggling over one lump sum.
The deposit switch is off until you turn it on. It can help when you buy a door, worktop or fittings before the visit. You choose how customers pay you, by payment link or bank transfer, after you sign up.
Tips for handyman pricing
- One job, one line. It keeps the quote readable and lets the customer drop or add a job without you starting again.
- Cover your travel. If you charge a call-out or minimum visit, list it rather than hiding it in the jobs.
- Mark customer-supplied items. Charge for fitting, not the part, and say so.
- Say what could change the price. Rot behind a door frame or a wall that won't take a fixing: tell the customer before they accept, and agree any extra in writing.
- Send it before you leave. The customer can accept while the list is still fresh.

Questions
Is the handyman quote maker free?
Yes. Fill in a handyman quote and download it as a PDF without signing up or entering an email. To send it to a customer to accept, you create an account at that step. No card is needed to start.
Can I put several odd jobs on one quote?
Yes. Add each job as its own line, such as "Rehang back door" or "Fit 3 shelves, alcove", with your price. The customer sees what each job costs and the total for the visit.
Should I quote by the job or by the hour?
Either works. For a job price, enter quantity 1 and your price. For hourly work, enter the hours as the quantity and your rate as the price, and put "(estimated hours)" in the line name.
Can my customer accept the handyman quote online?
Yes. You send it as a link by text or email. Your customer opens the quote on their phone, checks each job and the total, and accepts and signs it there. They don't need an app or an account.
What if the customer has bought the parts?
Add the item as a line and write "customer-supplied" in its name, then price only the labour to fit it. That makes clear you're not charging for the part itself.
