Filling it in for a heating or air con job
- Add your business and your customer. Type your business name, then the customer's name, their mobile or email, and the address.
- List the job line by line at your own prices. Start with the unit, by make, model and output: combi boiler, air source heat pump or split air con unit. Then flue kit, filter, controls, pipework, labour and commissioning. Not sure of one? Leave it empty: it shows Needs price and can't go out at zero.
- Tap Send to customer and sign up. Nothing to type again. Your customer accepts the quote online and pays any deposit straight to you.
The example lines on the page are marked Sample price. Keep them or set your own before anything is sent.
What your customer sees
The preview shows what your customer gets. Download PDF gives you a printable A4 copy. On their phone they see your business name, the unit by name and model, each line with your price, VAT, the total, and a deposit if you turned one on. Then they accept and sign.
A new boiler or heat pump may not be decided on the doorstep. Because the quote is a link, the customer can read it again that evening, forward it to whoever shares the decision, and accept when they're ready.
The deposit switch is off until you turn it on. It can help when you order the unit before fitting day. You choose how customers pay you, by payment link or bank transfer, after you sign up.
Tips for heating and air con pricing
- Lead with the unit. It's what customers compare between engineers, so make the make and model easy to find.
- Show the whole install. Removing the old boiler, flue, filter, controls and commissioning on separate lines makes your price easier to compare with a cheaper-looking quote.
- Write the exclusions. Moving the gas meter, upgrading radiators or making good decoration are common add-ons; say whether they're in or out.
- Mention your registrations. Customers look for them. Give them your Gas Safe registration number for gas work, and MCS details if you hold them, when you send the quote.
- Watch the valid-until date. Unit prices change. The maker puts a valid-until date on the quote, so an old price can't come back to you.

Questions
Is the heating and air con quote maker free?
Yes. Fill in a heating or air con quote and download it as a PDF without signing up or entering an email. To send it to a customer to accept, you create an account at that step. No card is needed to start.
Should I put the boiler or unit model on the quote?
Yes. Write the make, model and output of the boiler, heat pump or air con unit as its own line. The customer can compare like for like, and you have a record of exactly what you quoted.
Can I offer two or three boiler options?
This maker builds one option per quote. To show two or three units side by side, download the heating and air con quote template, which has room for good, better and best options.
Can my customer accept the heating and air con quote online?
Yes. You send it as a link by text or email. Your customer opens the quote on their phone, checks the unit, lines and total, and accepts and signs it there. They don't need an app or an account.
What if I'm still waiting on a price from the merchant?
Leave the line empty. It shows Needs price, and the quote can't be sent with a blank or zero price. Fill it in once the merchant confirms, then send.
