How e-signatures work

Your customer picks an option, agrees to sign electronically, types their name and taps Accept & sign. The signed version is saved.

On this page

Your customer signs on the quote page, on their own phone or computer, or on yours if you hand it over at the job.

How your customer signs

  1. They pick an option. Signing stays off until they do.
  2. They tap Continue and reach Sign.
  3. They tick I agree to sign electronically and get records electronically.. What this means opens a plain-English explanation.
  4. They type their full name in Type your full name to sign, or tap Draw instead to draw it.
  5. They tap Accept & sign.

The page then shows Accepted. Thank you!, and the quote shows as Accepted in your list.

What is recorded

When your customer signs, Quoza saves:

  • the name they typed or drew, and whether it was typed or drawn;
  • that they agreed to sign electronically, and which wording they agreed to;
  • the option they picked and the total;
  • the date and time, their device's browser and IP address;
  • a fingerprint of the exact version of the quote they saw.

That version can't be changed afterwards. If you send a newer version, the old link says it's an old version and can't be signed.

What isn't there yet

  • No signed PDF or signature certificate to download.
  • No email copy to you or your customer after signing.
  • No notification when someone signs. Check the status in Quotes.
