Filling it in for a roofing job
- Add your business and your customer. Type your business name, then the homeowner's name, their cell or email, and the property address.
- List the job line by line at your own prices. Work through the roof in order: "Tear-off, one layer (per square)", "Synthetic underlayment (per square)", "Architectural shingles (per square)", "Drip edge and flashing", "Ridge vent", "Dumpster and disposal". Not sure of one? Leave it empty: it shows Needs price and can't go out at zero.
- Tap Send to customer and sign up. Nothing to type again. Your customer gets the estimate as a link, signs online and pays any deposit straight to you.

What your customer sees
The preview shows what your customer gets. Download PDF gives you a printable copy. On their phone they see your business name, each line of the roof with your price, the tax line, the total, and a deposit if you turned one on. Then a place to sign. A homeowner with water stains on the ceiling can read it at the kitchen table and sign before the next storm.
The deposit switch is off until you turn it on. It can help when you order shingles and materials before the tear-off. If you use it, you choose how customers pay you after you sign up.
Tips for roofing pricing
- Show squares, pitch and layers. They explain most of the difference between bids. Put them in the line names.
- Price hidden decking up front. A per-sheet line marked "if needed" means no argument once the old roof is off.
- Name the product. "Architectural shingles, brand and color to be chosen" is clearer than "shingles".
- Keep disposal separate. Dumpster and haul-away is a real cost; a separate line shows it.
- Mind the valid-until date. Material prices move. The maker puts a valid-until date on the estimate, so an old price can't come back to you.
