Filling it in for a plumbing job
- Add your business and your customer. Type your business name, then the customer's name and their cell or email. Add the service address so the job is easy to find later.
- List the job line by line at your own prices. Write it the way you'd explain it at the sink: "Replace 40-gallon gas water heater", "Expansion tank", "Haul away old tank". Add labor as a job price or as hours. Not sure of one? Leave it empty: it shows Needs price and can't go out at zero.
- Tap Send to customer and sign up. Nothing to type again. Your customer gets the estimate as a link, signs online and pays any deposit straight to you.
The example plumbing lines are marked Sample price. Keep them or replace them with your own before anything is sent.
What your customer sees
The preview shows what your customer gets. Download PDF gives you a printable copy. On their phone they see your business name, each line of the job with your price, the tax line, the total, and a deposit if you turned one on. Then a place to sign. A homeowner standing next to a leaking water heater can read it and sign before you've packed your tools.
The deposit switch is off until you turn it on. It can help on jobs where you buy a heater or fixtures first. If you use it, you choose how customers pay you after you sign up.
Tips for plumbing pricing
- Separate the call from the fix. If you charge for the service call, put it on its own line so the repair price stays clear.
- Name parts the customer understands. "Pressure-reducing valve, 3/4-inch" beats a supplier code.
- Say what is not included. Drywall or tile repair after opening a wall is the classic surprise. Put it in the line name, such as "Open wall to reach valve (drywall repair not included)".
- Plan for the unknown. Tell the customer how you'll handle problems found once a wall or floor is open, before they sign.
- Mind the valid-until date. Fixture and equipment prices move. The maker puts a valid-until date on the estimate, so an old price can't come back to you.

Questions
Is the plumbing estimate maker free?
Yes. Fill in a plumbing estimate and download it as a PDF without signing up or giving an email. To send it to a customer for signature, you create an account at that step. No card is needed to start.
Can I make the estimate on my phone at the job?
Yes. The maker works in your phone's browser. On a small screen you see the preview first and tap Edit to fill in the lines. Your work is kept in the browser, so you can step away and come back to it.
How should I price parts on a plumbing estimate?
Give each part its own line with a quantity and your price, named the way the customer would recognize it, such as "Kitchen faucet, pull-down". Group small fittings into one line so the estimate stays easy to read.
Can my customer sign the plumbing estimate online?
Yes. You send it as a link by text or email. Your customer opens the estimate on their phone, checks the lines and total, and signs it there. They don't need an app or an account.
What if I find a hidden problem after the customer signs?
Tell the customer before you send it that a wall or floor can hide problems, such as a corroded valve, and how you'd price them. If you find one, agree the extra in writing before you do the work.
