Filling it in for a flooring job
- Add your business and your customer. Type your business name, then the customer's name, their cell or email, and the job address.
- List the job line by line at your own prices. Work through it in order: "Remove carpet and pad, haul away", "Subfloor prep", "LVP flooring, living room and hall (per sq ft)", "Install LVP (per sq ft)", "Transitions and quarter round". Not sure of one? Leave it empty: it shows Needs price and can't go out at zero.
- Tap Send to customer and sign up. Nothing to type again. Your customer gets the estimate as a link, signs online and pays any deposit straight to you.
The example flooring lines are marked Sample price. Keep them or set your own before anything goes out.
What your customer sees
The preview shows what your customer gets. Download PDF gives you a printable copy. On their phone they see your business name, each line with your price, the tax line, the total, and a deposit if you turned one on. Then a place to sign. A customer holding a sample plank can read your estimate there and then and sign before you leave.
The deposit switch is off until you turn it on. It can help when you order flooring early so it can acclimate. You choose how customers pay you after you sign up.
Tips for flooring pricing
- Measure by room. Room names in the lines make it easy for the customer to drop or add a room.
- Explain waste. Say whether the material line includes extra for cuts, so the quantity doesn't look padded.
- Price tear-out separately. Removal and disposal is real work; a line of its own shows it.
- Don't forget trim. Transitions, quarter round and stair nosing add up. List them.
- Say what is not included. Moving furniture and appliances, or trimming doors, if you don't do them.

How do I price flooring by the square foot?
Enter the square feet as the quantity and your price per square foot as the price, and put "(per sq ft)" in the line name. Use separate lines for material and installation if you price them separately.
How do I handle subfloor problems I can't see yet?
Add a line such as "Subfloor leveling, if needed (per sq ft)" with your rate. Tell the customer before they sign that you'll only charge for what you actually do once the old floor is up.
